2:2 Feelin' it

On "Feelin' It" I hope to post inspiring and interesting content, always. Just so you know, I am a lover of all types of dope things. Shoes are yummy, accessories are life, and I've got a real weakness for handcrafted goodness! But don't get it twisted, I have plenty of random stuff to share I am sure you will love.

-Stay Healthy, Breea

POTENTIAL

Melissa Naimi & Breea Kelly July 15, 2015

I am a firm believer in the idea of “potential". I see it in everything and I see it within the people that surround me. The idea of “potential” is tricky though… The exact definition reads:

“Having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future.”

Hmm, sounds pretty vague to me. Potential can be good or bad obviously, but I feel like the real talent is being able to see positive potential and finding the courage or strength to harness it. Years ago I saw the potential in my creativity and thought that with the right decisions made at the correct moments, I could make a career of it. Today I see potential in everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Constantly, great ideas are presenting themselves to me in a pure and fluid way. At this transitional time in my life I feel that it is imperative to start to learn more about myself, set my goals in stone and act on some of the great things I have been thinking about. In great faith, with extreme drive, and with a solid group of loved ones supporting me, I can see the potential in the decisions I make everyday. Although, I may not be where I saw myself years ago; today I still have the capacity to see the potential in my future. When you're in this type of mind space, I feel it is important to ask yourself the hard questions. With that being said; do you have potential?

If all of this is a little above your head, I have included this dope video my that my classmate Joshua Claassen made a couple years ago for a class project at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. It’s pretty interesting so take a gander!

Must see Ted Talks for the restless creative

Melissa Naimi & Breea Kelly June 3, 2015

Throughout my college education a lot of my professors depended on Ted Talks to spark class conversations and get our minds to start asking the “right” questions and move into a creative mental space to start the day. If you have never heard of Ted Talks then I am excited to be the first to introduce you…(although it is likely that you’ve stumbled across one on your social networks.) I don’t know about you, but sometimes television, music, or the movie you missed in the theaters on Netflix or HboGo just doesn’t cut it.

Sometimes as a restless thinker, when nothing else does the job, I turn to Ted Talks to get not only ideas flowing but also to get an insight into what is going on in the world around me. Often these videos allow me to step outside of my own shoes and see the world through the eyes of the individuals that surround us.  I like to be aware, often open minded, and have a positive outlook towards theories and ideas that just might change the world. Forward thinking and human imagination is extremely important to me and this is what Ted celebrates. Take the moment to listen to these stories or ideas of the individuals below, you will find that they might have something noteworthy to offer you. Ted Talks are much more than the sum of its parts, so by all means do your own exploring.

Below are some of the choices I’m feelin.
